YOU CAN HELP!...

I would like to make a site for each of the Pozar families.
However, I could use help with the genealogy, if you email me names, birth dates, photos and family charts for each of the branches of the families, I will build a page for each family. Family memories would make this site vibrant.

Also, if there are other aspects that family members are interested in, such as family owned business links, Historic photos of San Andreas or the old Pozar Ranch, or who knows…

Is there a family genealogist out there? , Or a family historian? , Please contact KimMarie Pozar Gaye by email at kimpozar at yahoo.com. Also, please forward the address for this site to other members of our family.

Tim Pozar hosts this site, and I would like to offer a special thanks to him for offering this service to our family.

After a long holiday and an upgrade to my computer, the site is getting some more attention. I promised a friend of mine that I would start loading the story of Sarah Winnemucca's childhood. This forced me to learn how to convert Word documents, clean up the HTML code and attempt to imbed it into a template. Well, the prologue and first three chapters with interactive lessons are done! It was a bit more frustrating than I envisioned, but it was good practice. The story is aimed at grades 4-6 to help with state history curriculum. If you have feedback, it would be appreciated.

Received a great packet of information from Stan Cvar including an extensive genealogy and several great pictures. Rosemary was able to identify the unknown Pozar girls in one of the pictures. Now I have some real meat to work with. (no more excuses) So for the first page, I created one for our grandparents, John and Johanna, it is now the destination for the Pozar logo and anyplace that says Pozar Genealogy Site. BTW, Carmie and I had dinner with Rosemary and Harry and cousin Paula a couple weeks ago in Moss Landing. It was a real treat!

As per Timmy's request, a text only index has been added to assist in the navigation of the site for people with text browsers. A link from the homepage takes you there and it is a good place to start if you want info about each section of the site. Still anxiously awaiting site approval fom the man so I can move this to it's permanent home at www.pozar.com, maybe over Thanksgiving!

Got some feedback from some of the family. Added a page of information on viruses.

I have emailed Stan Cvar and asked for assistance with the family tree. Anyone else who can help draw it correctly is welcome to help! There are 9 links working on the home page. I worked alot on getting Ebay auctions up so if folks are interested they can also see info at my "about me" at ebay. Timmy has suggested that I make the home page more text friendly and I am doing some research on Lynx browers. It is good advice, because some people have extremely slow connection speeds and rely on using a text only browser. Text only browsers are also used by the blind in order to surf the web. Thanks Timmy! He also rasised concerns about copyright infringement. Okay I agree that I swiped a couple of images and the lyrics to some songs, but lots of the stuff is now in public domain, for example, the Tajar Tales which were originally published in 1925. I even contacted the current publisher of the book and they told me to go for it, BTW if you are interested in purchasing a new copy of the book, you can visit their site at: http://home.earthlink.net/~tajartales/ Back to copyright issues, I need to get permission from Timmy for a couple of the pics he took, including the Doggie Diner heads on the home page and the great one of Polly and Paula on the Polly Tribute Page . The images at the Antique Views of Dinkey Creek are all 50 years or older and all from old postcards except for the bridge plans, I have lots of old post card views of Pacific Grove and San Carlos de Borromeo de Monterey (our church) that I will post as soon as I check the rights on them. I have been watching for San Andreas cards recently, but some of the rest of the family may have better luck.

The Beginnings:

The genealogy site was originally created as a college project in January of 2000 at California State University, Monterey Bay.

Go to my student portfolio at CSUMB

Brother Tim had registered the Pozar name and we moved the genealogy sections over to his site that summer.

Since then, pieces of my websites have gotten scattered across the web and this format is being put into place during the fall of 2002.
